What is microblading method?

Manual Microblading, also referred to as Brow Micropigmentation, Manual Technique, Hand Method Eyebrow Permanent Makeup, Feather Brows, 3D-6D Brows, Cosmetic Tattooing and Eyebrow Embroidery, originated in Asia and has become very popular in in the last few years all across the world. Manual Microstroking is done by using a unique hand instrument with a small row of very fine needles that deposit pigment into the epidermis with slicing, feathering strokes. This creates very crisp, fine hair strokes that don’t blur after healing like you would experience with a traditional permanent makeup machine.

This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present.

People suffering from alopecia, trigonometrically or any other condition that causes hair loss benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.

The results are a natural, flawless, fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two-week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

The results can last anywhere from 11 to 18 months, depending on different factors affecting the procedure. However, a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.

Advantages of microblading:

  • Hairstrokes are 3 times thinner and more realistic than semi-permanent make up hairstrokes.
  • Remains of 11-18 months, pigment does not change color.
  • There is no tattoos effect.
  • The procedure is painless and is performed much faster than micropigmentation
  • Very low labor costs.
  • Fusion is avoided.

How You should prepare for the procedure

Before performing the procedure it is essential to avoid sunbathing for one week. Avoid waxing or tinting the eyebrows for about 3 days before the treatment.

You should avoid any substances, which could thin the blood (e.g. aspirin); also alcohol, weighty foods and medicines which impact vessel dilatation should be avoided.

Treatment can not be performed onto an affected skin.

What are Ombre Brows?

This is the perfect technique for those who want a fuller, more make-up look, have previously had their eyebrows tattooed, are unable to show off fine hair strokes or have very oily skin so that makeup will not stay in place.  It makes use of a powder application method to provide eyebrows that look natural and soft. Rebecca will use a hand-operated machine to create realistic permanent eyebrows that add to your natural beauty.  Passionate about her art, she will apply great patience and care, customising the procedure to provide the right shape and colour to suit you.  This will be done using pharmaceutical permanent makeup pigment of the highest quality, applied by using sterilized needles.

To ensure that you will be delighted with the finished result, before the permanent procedure takes place, Rebecca will provide you with a detailed consultation, drawing the shape of your new eyebrows with a fine pencil so that you can see how they will look. Anaesthetic cream is applied to the brows before the process starts, the entire procedure taking about 2 hrs. The result is the creation of amazing brows that showcase your face and look amazing from day one; there is no downtime and you won’t need a touch up for about 4-8 weeks.  Your skin’s pigment retention capability will depend on your skin type, age, how much sun you have been exposed to, use of skin products, medication, your immune system and the quality of aftercare. Touch-ups will be needed only annually to deal with natural fading.

SEMI PERMENANT LASH EXTENSIONS

What are Lash Extensions?

eyelash extensions are designed to give you thicker and longer lashes. Individual, very fine and perfectly shaped to look like the natural eyelash, our faux mink extensions are applied by one of our specially trained technicians and bonded to your individual lashes using a specially developed adhesive. Health risks are extremely low as the eyelash extension is applied to your own natural lashes and not to your skin.

Classic Lashes:

Eyelash extensions are applied one at a time directly on to your natural eyelashes in a specific sequence. This process is repeated until you have a full set and takes around 1½ hours to complete. A very relaxing treatment, it isn’t at all painful and can be quite therapeutic. Following your initial appointment you will require follow up sessions, or ‘infills’, every 3-4 weeks to maintain your eyelash extensions.

Your natural eyelashes will not be damaged by your eyelash extensions unless they are pulled out deliberately. In that case, the natural lash will be replaced by a new one as part of the natural lash growth cycle. However, we strongly advise that if you wish to remove your eyelash extensions do not simply try to pull them off, arrange an appointment and we will remove them safely for you.

Our 1-on-1 method means each individual eyelash is isolated before the lash extension is applied on top, using professional adhesive. The adhesive is strong enough to bond the two together until your next infill appointment, which we recommend every 2-3 weeks, depending on the growth of your lash cycle.

Volume Lashes;

Also known as Russian Volume, 2D, 3D, 4D etc. Volume lashes are create by making fine mink lashes into fans, thus creating volume where needed. This can be advantageous to someone with minimal or sparse natural lashes, or for someone wanting to create dramatic volume. As the ‘fanning’ method can take a little longer, it is recommended to allow up to 2 hours for volume lashes. Infill appointments can be spread out a little longer due to the fanning method making the lashes appear fuller for longer.

Maintenance

It is important to keep your lashes clean, which means brushing them daily with one of our mascara wands, and washing them gently twice a week, using a gentle cleanser. Washing them regularly will stop any dirt or debris from settling between the lashes, and continue to keep your whole eye area clean.

As well as keeping them clean and well brushed, there are a number of other ways to maintain a fresh, full, fabulous set of lashes. Avoid using waterproof mascara, liquid eyeliner and oil based make-up removers, as they can loosen the bonds holding your extensions in place. Avoid letting the showerhead point directly into your face and try not to sleep on your face. This is a tricky one, but it’s important to make as much effort as possible to sleep on your back, as you could manipulate or crush the lashes.

LVL LASHES
CREATED EXCLUSIVELY BY NOUVEAU LASHES, LVL LASH LIFT IS THE REVOLUTIONARY NATURAL LASH TREATMENT TAKING THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY BY STORM
You’ve already got what it takes. You just haven’t seen it yet. The LVL Lash Lift is the

revolutionary lash phenomenon that reveals your natural lashes in all their glory. Exclusive to Nouveau Lashes, the LVL effect is about freedom. It’s about knowing your eyes will be the centre of attention. Without you having to do a thing. Make the most of what nature gave you. With the length, volume and lift effect of LVL.

WHAT IS LVL?
Our LVL Lash Lift is a revolutionary eyelash treatment which is designed to lift your natural lash at the root, creating the effect of longer, lifted lashes. With immediate results lasting between 6 and 8 weeks, it is the perfect treatment for people with a low maintenance beauty regimen, busy lifestyle, allergies and hay fever, or just those who want to make the most of their natural eyelashes!

HOW DOES THE LVL LASH LIFT WORK?
The structure of a single hair is made up of three parts: the hair cuticle, the cortex and the medulla. When the lifting balm is applied during the LVL treatment, the hydrogen comes into contact with the air and oxidises. This creates a chemical process which breaks down the disulphate bonds in each hair, allowing them to move into a new shape. The next step is applying the volumising fix, which reforms the disulphate bonds into their new shape, which is long and lifted with maximum volume!

This new shape of the eyelashes takes up to 48 hours for the disulphate bonds to lock into place and cure, which is why it is important to emphasise to follow the correct aftercare for 48 hours post-treatment. Once the lashes get hot or wet, they will fall back into their alpha-keratin (natural) state and the lift will drop.

ACRYLIC NAIL EXTENSIONS

Nail extensions – A lightweight plastic tip that follows the shape of the nail is glued to the edge of the natural nail in order to add length. Acrylic is then applied on top of the extension in order to secure the extension and add strength and shine.

Nail overlays – Overlays skip the extension step, and instead of adding artificial length onto the nail, the strengthening mixture is simply applied directly onto the natural nail in order to add strength and durability.

At Hidden Aesthetics, we only use high end products and do not cause damage to the natural nail with drills or other unnecessary methods. We take care of our clients, gently pushing back cuticles and shaping the nail before applying the tip. The nail plate is dehydrated to ensure maximum adhesion. The extensions typically will need infilling every 3 weeks to fill in the growth.
